1970's Baseball Newspaper Scrapbook Album - 85+ Double Side Pages of Articles!
This looks like it was a big baseball fan of the early 1970's put this together. Not sure if it was a teenager or an adult but it is filled with great content from 1970-1973 it looks like to me. It seems to have all the world series from 1970-73, as well as articles with the all-star announcement and it looks like most of the major baseball events from the death of Clemente to most of the big hits, home runs and other milestones for players. There are multiple articles on 500th or 600th HR, 3000th hits and other events highlighted in the 85+ pages that have articles on both sides. The album is hard bound 12.5 x 13 x 2.5 inches approximately, the pages seem to have construction paper feel to them, most of the pages have some small hits, a few have tears, you can see one of the worst with the high resolution scans I took as many pictures as I had space to list so you can get a feel of the condition. The newspaper articles are for the most part in great shape with the intentional folding of some articles to fit them in the album, but done is such a way to fold them out to read the entire article.
This is from a time before internet, before phones in your pocket and the newspaper was king for information on sports and most other things. There was no 24 hours sports channels, if you were not in a big city, you only had 4 channels to chose from and then news was about 1-2 hours twice a day, half for local and half for national, with sports taking only a small part of that. There are also 12 additional cut out paper articles in the back loose that were not added into the album yet.

About the seller ---> I have been collecting since the late 70's and selling since the mid to late 80's. I gave up on both after the death of my wife and just started to get back to buying last year and selling this year. I buy too much and don't sell enough, but I do need to make room for new things. I buy many things in big lots and have many extras I do not need. As well as I don't expect another woman to put up with my semi-hoarding as it is. So help me out and take some of these things off my hands.

I do my best to secure items to arrive as they left my place by the way I pack them and the materials I use, so this sometimes adds additional weight to my shipping costs already provided.
