1970 CROOKSTON MINNESOTA YOUTH COUNCIL HOCKEY & ICE SKATING PROTEST FLYER

Measures 7" X 8-1/2", one-sided black ink lithographed on goldenrod 20# paper.
What a strange little item -- this fell out of a book I had just purchased; and, before tossing it away, I decided to examine it -- and good thing that I did!  It was produced by the CROOKSTON YOUTH COUNCIL, INC in Minnesota, and is a flyer stating "JOIN A COOL PROTEST! ARTIFICIAL ICE IN THE WINTER SPORTS ARENA IN '70", following which are all the reasons that the Crookston Youth Council (a city in Northern Minnesota which has become a force to reckon with in the sport of hockey) provides for an extended hockey and ice skating season, as well as a larger ice skating rink.  Considering that Crookston has supplied some of the most threatening names in Minnesota hockey, I suspect that the protest was successful!
